Has anybody heard when region 1 will get the complete fisrt season of ANGEL on dvd?

I'll be very excited to see individual season sets finally become available here...especially since unlike Buffy, this will eventually be in widescreen.


Unfortunately, there is no official word yet for Region 1. It will probably be a while seeing as how this series has not even gone into syndication yet. Money and rights contracts equals we all get to wait.


In the meantime, you can enjoy the Season 2 Box set of Buffy which will be out in only 3 weeks from today!

Buffy will be widescreen beginning with Season 4. The R2 and R4 DVDs are anamorphic widescreen. Follow the link and scroll down to "Aspect ratio" to have a look:

Thanks for the update...this is really great news...hopefully Region 1 will be the same. Given the standard 6 month intervals between releases we won't see Season 4 here until next Spring.
