small room but i have a window swill, so i can get another 12 inches of throw for a bigger image.


but window is not in center of room. it's off to the side a little bit. i have a mits 4900 pj. horizontal shift is not enough to center the image.


so i was thinking of turning the pj about 30 degrees or so. when i did that i went from a 96 inch image to a 106 inch image.


will this harm the image? here is a diagram.

You won't have even focus across the screen. Also your image will not be rectangular and will require keystoning.

for one with generous horizontal shift

You can always tilt the screen towards the projector to reduce the angular distortion.
