Annoying "pop" when shutting down

277 Views 3 Replies 4 Participants Last post by  DD's Lounge
I have harmony 890 remote, if I program it to "mute" my AV Receiver before it shutsdown and "unmute" it after it restarts. Do you guys think this will work?

Are you using an external amplifier? If so, shut it off before you shut off the AVR...
I think he means when he shuts down and restarts his computer while the reciever is set to the computer input he gets a pop over his speakers. My logitech X530's do the same thing when I restart my reciever.

As far as if muting the reciever would work I don't know for sure. I would suggest trying it before programming your remote. Just push the mute button manually (or in device mode) and restart the computer without using the remote..
I had the same prob and I had Fast track come out and all it was was that there was a connection not hooked up right. I cant remember what connection it was ( I think it had to do with the Sub) but cant be for sure but it took care of the prob and havnt had it since.

I would check to make sure everything is hooked up right in the back. I dont use a computer but it still might cure your prob.

Good Luck
