Can I use the Channel Master 4834 3 ft 2-Leg Mount (available at SolidSignal) for an attic mount of a Channel Master 3021 UHF Antenna? I would prefer to use the "tube" the bowties are attached to and just "slide" the tube down over the center leg of the mount. Will this work?

It might work, but check the OD of the tube and leg of the mount.

Why not just try a piece of mast?

I went to Home Depot and got a steel pipe flange with a 3/4" threaded collar, plus a 4' and 3' length of 3/4" threaded steel pipe. I mounted the CM to the 4' section of pipe, mounted the flange to a piece of plywood now on the attic floor with the 3' steel pipe section into it, and then used a joiner to join the two sections (3' and 4') together. Works like a dream.
