Wow. Possibly a great choice for those of us saving up our lunch money for an entry-level projector. Nothing real great about the specs, but hopefully the price will be appealing.

Yeah...the Sanyo PLV-Z1 is probably better than it and maybe even the X1 but for the price it seems like it could become popular another < 1500 LCD projector....hm
It's the new panel that is lower resolution than the Z1.... and I'm not sure it's actually going to be cheaper street price.
Also, this panel is in the HS3 and it seems it has even worse screendoor than the Z1 by an apparent amount.
Unless Z1s go away with the Z2 and therefore vacate the ~$1200 market, I don't see this projector being appealing at much above $900.
