Ok, help me here guys.

Looking for a 52" LCD

Room has ambient light so reflection is a concern. I mostly watch direct tv right now, but stream movies through my PS3 from my mac. I am also a pretty avid gamer.

I want 120hz for sure. My price range is anywhere from $2-$2500, viewing distance is about 9 feet.

This will be replacing my 50" Sony SXRD 1080p. I am partial to Sony and am leaning towards an XBR6, but wondering if any of the other series would be sufficient.

Samsungs concern me because of the ambient light and glossy screen.

Thanks for the help.

I just bought a XBR6 the other day & luv it! I owned a 720p Samsung DLP before this, so the upgrade was evident once i started viewing content on the XBR. The 120hz is a huge plus to me as well. I dont know if i could go back to watching 'normal' movies after seeing them this way. Which could be a good/bad thing? *shrug*

Personally, i was looking at both the Samsung 750 & the XBR6. In the end, i chose the Sony b/c i got a tremendous deal on it that i couldnt pass up. Im sure i would've been happy with the Samsung as well. Samsung hasn't let me down in about 10yrs.

Good luck with your decision though.

i was comparing the 52 xbr6 and the 52 samsun 850. i preferred the picture of the 850 but I have alot of light and there was very bad glare during the day time. i also go a good deal on the xbr6. if best buy would have had the 850 i prob would have ended up with it.
