TV: 32" LCD Samsung LN-T3253H


It seems like this very high pitched whine comes in after the unit has heated up for a half hour or so. The pitch changes slightly depending on whether a bright scene or dark scene is being displayed so I am inclined to suspect the backlight as the culprit.


I bought the TV in february, is it worth calling Samsung about? I find it very annoying.

What I believe you are hearing is a cooling system for the video processing unit. If you really can't stand it... to the point you're posting on it, call them and tell them it's loud enough to drown out the audio some times. Samsung is usually pretty good about sending out a tech to look at stuff.
