Everyone:

I have a power failure at night in our area, the Qualia 004 on standby mode

and i Can not power it up anymore, the red standby light was gone.

so like many others owner , i think the power board was dead.


Call Sony Quaia line and they advice me to ship back to their TX USA services centre for free check up, they paid for the shipping.


But they will not tell me the cost to fix it, they only said the Quaila have 3 years warranty, I did mention this is common problem of this unit.....

(i think mine warranty are long over!)


Now i am worry about a big bill for repair but i also heard some user able to got it repair for free. (under warranty may be?)


if you can share some of your experience will be great, suggestion are welcome too.

Mine was repaired for free as it was within the warranty period. I had to send it to Tx which was a hassle. The unit is heavy by today's standard. I recommend selling it after repairs and replacing with a JVC or other.
