Howdy, my cable company{ Cablevision }, installed a HD box{the Scientific Atlanta 4200HD??.I believe...it is connected to my HDTV via component cables....the reception of HD is less than perfect, the pictures brakes up a bit when fast movement occurs in some channels, is this normal or should I consider upgrading my HD box if possible?? Should I ask the cable company for a superior HD box?..also...would a CABLECARD give me a better image than the HD cable box??...thanks for the help!!

It has nothing to do with the box. It is the feed that the box is receiving. you need have cablevision out to check the signal levels coming into your box and see what they can do to improve them. CableCard is currently only for people who have digital cable ready HDTV's with a CableCard slot. If you do not have one you can not use a CableCard to decode HD broadcasts.

If the problem is the video gets blocky on fast motion, there is nothing wrong that you can fix. It has to do with the bitrate that the video is being sent to you at. Lower bitrates means that fast motion things tend to break up. You can always call and complain.
