I list a few alternatives to the go-to Lin. I also list their NRC ratings so you know it's apples-to-apples. The stuff I used was Knauf Sonic XP. It was cheaper in my area than Lin. I went to a local supply warehouse and purchased it. Just search on line and you zipcode. You might find a hidden place you didn't even know about. That's how I found the Sonic XP.
