I've seen several threads regarding xover freqs and I just want to make sure of a couple things for my setup. I have:

Athena point 5 MKII

Onkyo 602

Dayton 12" (I will be getting it soon)

My receiver allows me to set the xover down to 60. I noticed my center channel will drop down to 60 and my fronts go down to 80. From what I've read, I'm assuming that I will want to set the xover to 80 on my receiver and set my speakers to small...is this correct?

That is correct. Speakers are to small.

Your front speakers will probably rolloff before 80Hz, so you might be better off setting the XO a little higher. I believe people have used 100Hz as the crossover for your speakers. Use that as a starting point, and experiment.

ok...that makes sense...so you want the sub to take over before the mains drop off...kind of like a crossfade...or maybe not, but that's what I'm thinking about :)
