Has anyone ever grounded and indoor antenna ? I have the Radio Shack Bow Tie Antenna, and it needs to be grounded at times to receive certain stations. I need to hold it for a half minute to make it ground and give it enough signal strength. Is it possible to put a ground on an indoor antenna ? If so, how can you do it ?

Any help would be appreciated.

Simplest method would be to ground it to your A/V receiver's chassis ground or phono ground, since no TV I've seen has a ground connection that's easily accessible. Next easiest would be to attach a ground wire to the ground pin on a standard A/C plug and plug it into the same power outlet that your system is on.

Some interesting info is available at Rane Electronics' web site: http://www.rane.com/library.html#tech
