Gearing up for the Masters this morning, I tuned to CBS this to find out if everything was all right. It wasn’t. I need a signal rate of 40 on CBS to get a constant lock. I was getting 34-38 and dropouts.

I have a houseful of guests coming over to view this event in all its glory, and to try and sell a few more sets! Worried, I went outside and stared at my antenna (CM 4248) for several minutes. I noticed that the boom seemed to be pointing slightly up by 1 or 2 degrees. The wind must have knocked it out of alignment. After adjusting the guy wires, the signal immediately jumped to a minimum of 46. Unbelievable. AND, I can rotate the antenna thru about 20 degrees and get the same signal. I can’t believe that a small horizontal adjustment can do so much.

I can’t tell you how relieved I am. 1/2 an hour before guests are due to arrive. PHEW! Wish me luck in trying to sell some sets!
