The inconsistency of WCBS-DT's signal is very frustrating. During the winter months, it was my strongest and most stable channel. All summer long, I've not been able to lock on. Yesterday, for some reason, the gods were smiling on my DTC100 and I was able to get a signal strength mostly in the 50's to about 60. There were occasional signal losses, but watchable. WNBC, WABC, WWOR, WPIX and WNET come in strong and stable. WNYW--not at all, but no loss there.

I'm quietly confident that if I move my antenna from the attic to the roof, I'll be much better off (fingers, toes, and eyes all crossed). Can anyone recommend a reliable antenna installer in Bergen County NJ? I'm not much of a roof guy.

I'm also considering subscribing to DirecTV. Will I be able to throw the dish installer a few extra sheckles to put up my UHF antenna, or are they pretty much one-trick-ponies?

Forgive the redundancy, but I've posted a similar message in the HDTV programming forum.

Thanks,

Rich
