I live in Meriden,CT. Looking to purchase a rooftop antenna for OTA. I presently use a RS double bowtie that I place on my kitchen table to receive CBS from about 20 miles from the tower and an amplified RCA VHF/UHF to receive ABC about 20 mi the other way. I can sometimes pick up PBS out of Springfield, MA about 45 mi away. These are the only channels presently broadcasting digital in our area.

I have been considering the GS-2000 because it is bidirectional(?).

My question is: I also live about 100 mi. from The World Trade Center and about the same distance from Boston, MA in a different direction. Is there any possible way with a different rooftop antenna and some type of amp that I could pull in signals from this far away?

Well, 100 miles is extreme fringe range for UHF. It might be more possible for VHF, but either will depend on your elevation compared to the antenna site elevation. Check out antennaweb.org to see if they estimate any fringe coverage in your location.
