I live in the 44077 area code, and would like to be able to receive the following digital stations...

* blue - uhf WEWS-DT 5.1 ABC CLEVELAND OH 236° 36.2 15

* violet - uhf WJW-DT 8.1 FOX CLEVELAND OH 235° 36.7 31

* violet - vhf WKYC-DT 3.1 NBC CLEVELAND OH 235° 34.6 2

Also not listed on antennaweb, but listed on hdtvpub

CBS, 35 miles, 236 degrees, channel 10 vhf

Any antenna suggestions?

I am thinking about an outdoor rooftop setup on a 2 story colonial.

I have read other posts that indicate a CM 4228, Wade 306, and CM 7777 preamp might work. Is this overkill for these distances?

Thanks,

Tom

Channel 2 is bad news. An ideal channel 2 antenna is about nine feet wide. If were you, I might try running a coax to your attic, put a 75 to 300 ohm balun on the end of it, and then connect the two leads to two pieces of wire that are about five feet long and make your own "dipole", which is to say, extend them perpendicular to the direction the of the transmitter.

Beyond that, reception needs would be most reliably served by a big, ugly antenna.

Chances are, your local channel 2/3 will move to a higher numbered channel when the transistion is over.
