Anthem 520 trigger

I recently purchased a Panamax M5300-PM surge protector. Banks 1& 2 are always on. Banks 3&4 are switched outlets. Bank 5 is a delayed circuit. I tried running a trigger wire from the Anthem to the Panamax to trigger on the switched outlets. Nothing works. Any ideas why this doesn't work? I went into the menu to enable the trigger but all I can do is switch it from being off to Main or Zone 2 or a combination of both.
I have an Anthem D2v in my basement theater with a trigger running from it to a Panamax M5400-PM and it works every time.
