I have a decision to make but I really don't know what I should pick. I'd greatly appreciate any of your thought and advices.

Which one would you pick? Brand new Anthena As-F2 or lightly used Infinity Overture 2. They are about the same in price. Will be used for 40% DVD movies, 60% TV and music.

Here is the big picture:

I'm on the market for "budget" floorstanding speakers. And I was ready to pull the trigger on the Athena AS-F2 at Best Buy, based on the great reviews everywhere. But I just came across a set of used Infinity Overture 2 forsale. They are from a person I know. These are hardly used and in super condition. He is asking for $350 for a pair but I think I can negotiate and get them for around $300. These and the Athena AS-F2 are perfectly fit my budget at this time. I don't know which pair I should go for. I listened to both pair and I like them both.

I really don't know which are the better pair. I listened to the overture in a mid size living room. I like the warm and deep sounds with very rich bass from a built-in powered subwoofer.

On the other hand, the Athena I auditioned at Best Buy were in a totally different environment, with lot of ambience noises. And they didn't sound as good as the overture 2. But they definitely sounds great and night and day diffident if compared with the yamaha satellites I am currently using. I don't know how the anthena will sound in the same room as the overture 2. And many people says the Athena needs time for broken in and some receiver adjustment to reach its peak performance.

My ears are telling me to get the Overture, but my instinct is telling me to get the AS-F2. Anyone had a chance to compare these? Please, please give me some directions. Which way should I go.

Thanks All.

Try them both in your room and keep the ones you like better. Let your ears make the final decision. You will want to give the Athenas around 50-100 hours of burn in time.
