Anyone know if the XA2 is available at any local B&M stores, BB, CC etc?

I haven't seen any XA2 units at BB or CC as of yet (Rockland NY area). You probably should keep checking their web pages for updates. I surely wasn't able to get any productive information from any of the sales staff at these stores, unless of course if you'd be interested in a BD pep talk.

You sure they were XA2s? Seems unlikely given the unit has just begun shipping. You might have seen A2s there.

I have not checked, but my Magnolia was supposed to have them in this week.


Also- when I asked about the XA2, my associate mentioned he couldn't sell me a A2 either- as they had sold out of all of their initial shipments.

I was not the one who saw them, but another person who actually did pick one up from there. He did make a post here on it, but I can't remember the name or thread.

Tweeter doesn't have them yet, but they are due on the 19th. I just purchased a HD-XA2 over the phone and they matched the J & R price of $799. 12 months at 0% interest on my tweeter card and about $850 with taxes. Needless to say I am happy.

ABT Electronics in Chicago has 13 in stock and ready to be picked up (or shipped). No one there knows they are in, but I have the guy that does and can set you up. If in Chicago, you can get one tomorrow.

Anyone have word from Best Buy on this yet? I've checked three times over the last two weeks and they can't find the XA2 in their system.

I highly recommend ABT and they will deal on most items...but you have to ask...I love going to their store.

I was at Abt tonight and saw the XA2 mixed in with the rest of the DVD and BD players.


I also saw a display/returned A2 for just under $300! If I didn't get my XA2 last week, I definitely would have walked out of there with the A2 tonight.
