Any chance D* will give us Richmond on a Special Events Channel (NASCAR)???

This weekend is one of 3 NASCAR NEXTEL CUP races that are not on FOX/NBC/TNT and therefore, not available in HD. :( Its on FX.

However, since all NASCAR races are shot in HD, and since there is no FX-HD channel and since D* is now getting involved in NASCAR as a sponsor:

Is there any chance we could see this race on one of the HD Special Events channels?

Heck, I'm still cussing from the postponed 'Dega race on FX.

I like the fact that FOX promotes the DLP overhead cable cam, but yet airs races

in SD, Atlanta, Talladega, and now this weeks in Richmond.

Why promote your toys if you're not going to use them to the fullest...? :(

This will make 3 of 10 races so far NOT in HD.

I need more angry smilies :D

Yell at your affiliate. My local affiliate showed the race in HD. I am really surprised that FOX NY did not.
Same here. Lowly Richmond, VA, with a Sinclair-owned Fox affiliate, broadcast Talladega in HD.

Meanwhile their analog signal kept the original programming so nobody would miss Jerry Springer.

The only problem is that they made no serious attempt to tell anybody, so most fans missed it or watched it in SD on FX.

But I still don't understand why the Richmond race is SD. It's always action-packed.

Short answer...just because it's on FX to begin with. I just wish that when they

air programming on a non-HD channel they would offer it on Fox-HD. Let Cops &

AMW air on reg-FOX and the race on FX for non-HD viewers and the race on HD.

No brainer.
