I am looking to upgrade from my HV10. The HV20 looks like it has outstanding quality in the visual department but I hate dealing with tapes, both the changing, carrying of them, and the slow capturing. The new hard drive camcorders look nice but we all know about the current foibles of AVCHD, and the fact that the Sony cameras do not match the look of the HV20.
Is there any chance the SR7 will produce a better picture than their current offerings? I know editing of AVCHD is coming around, even though it's a performance hog, and I have read rumors of a higher bitrate for the SR7. Is it possible? Or will it just be a slightly upgraded SR1?
