I now have a shadow in the lower left corner of my screen and believe it *might* be light tunnel related. I saw someone in Naperville had used a shop in West Chicago but, I live out of their service area (Oak Park). Does anyone have experience with shops in Chicago that will travel to Oak Park to repair my 61" Samsung DLP? Thanks.

It might be cheaper to replace the light engine yourself. Depends on the cost of the LE and the model of TV. For example. I had the same issue with my old LE for my DLP (shadow, lower left corner) and found new replacement LE for $180 shipped. You can try this place:

Lyons will go to Oak Park? Thats a cruise. Bet they charge for travel.

If it's the light tunnel collapse, call Samsung CS first and give them your model number. I think they are still repairing it, even out of warranty, for free.
