I've got Comcast in Seattle. Motorola 5100 version 50.00-1078. A year later than expected all major networks have digital feeds. As widely reported from cable subscribers all over the country, I've frequently noticed A/V sync problems while watching HDTV broadcasts but don't notice this watching DVDs.

After reading many messages, I could not find a consensus on the source of the problem and the best action to take to resolve it. I'm thinking about purchasing a receiver with A/V Synch adjustment. Although one poster said it allows you to slow the audio down but I swear the problem on Comcast is the video needs to be slowed down! I'm watching ER right now and the lip sync problem is there but it seems to get better and worse throughout the show.

What's the consensus? Wait for a new box? Adjust receiver to compensate? Just live with it?
