I had one for about 2 weeks. It performed much better than a Velodyne DPS-10? I tried. Nice sounding sub but really was overmatched for my open floor plan (about 4,500 ft3). 40Hz and above was excellent for it's size, however, output went downhill below that. 20Hz was dismal (
That's a great observation on the Dev Tech ProSub 1000. I actually just purchased one a few days ago. I bought it from Best Buy, so will exercise the return poilicy if needed. I have a very small theater room - only 120 ft^3. It is fully enclosed, so it will be interesting to hear how it performs. I am a complete nuby to all of this. This is literally my very first 5.1 setup. I was only comfortable buying what i could audition and easily return, so we'll see.
