I have acquired a Sony PC-1271 Switcher which has three IFB-20 Cards installed as well as two IFB-1000 cards. But no IFB-11 Cards.

The IFB-20 Cards have a Male D-sub 9-pin (DB9) RGB connector. Can this IFB-20 card be used with a DB9-DB15 convertor or DB9-DB15 cable. If so, what type of input signal will they accept, e.g. VGA, SVGA, XGA, SXGA etc.

I was hoping to be able to use the IFB-20 like a IFB-11 to input signals from a number of RGBHV sources such as a HTPC and HD STB.

Thanks for your help.

Kindest Regards

Mark

ive had afew of them myself, and its my understanding that they will do VGA, but you might go to the Sony website, click on professional products, then support. they have a 800 number for tech support and are usually very helpfull. ken

I just posted a note recently about the dip switches on the IFB-20. This card uses a non standard pinout if Im not mistaken. The pinout for the db-9 connector is listed in a post in this forum. Do a search for IFB-20 and you will find it. I had Terry Ferentinos make me up a DB15 to DB-9 cable using the pinout described on the above mentioned post.

Thanks Guys! I'll do a search here and see if I can find the Pinouts for the DB9-DB15 Cable/Convertor. I did find out that they have a 120Mhz Bandwidth after searching the net. But that's the only info I found
