Any info on the Sony VPLVW10HT

522 Views 4 Replies 5 Participants Last post by  James W. Johnson
I have a channe to pick up a used Sony VPLVW10HT for $1000. What's the word on this projector? Any suggestions on something better for around the same price?

Also, does anyone have a recommendation on a good scaler for this projector?

Thanks

Hey, make sure it's in good condition, and if you don't buy it, let me know, I'll buy it. [email protected]
I have a Sony 10HT and have been real happy with it. Make sure you check the hours on the unit, a new bulb is about $450. Also, look for stuck/dead pixels. This is one of the issues with LCD projectors. Otherwise, if all checks out good, that is a great price for this wonderfull projector.

Good Luck,

Steve
Your best bet is to go to theBigPicture forum and post a question regarding possible issues with the Sony 10HT in its dedicated forum. For $1000 I would buy right now even with no lamp! But better check for dead pixels and the hours on the projector itself.

If it is in good shape you won't find a better projector for that kind of money period.

If it is in good shape you could buy it and sell it for a profit...they typically bring in the $3500+ range on E-Bay.
