Why no DLP love? The HC1600 has a x2 wheel, no reason why an HD65 couldn't do the job for you!


As far as I know, there are no LCD deals under a grand. The Home Cinema 700 appears to be a very weak replacement for the 720. The Panny would be a good deal if available.


To me, with the prices you Yanks pay, I'd look towards the PT-AX200 or HD65. The Sanyos always seem to get knocked for being on the dim side, and I doubt it can match the performance of the Panny.

I'm a bit stale on DLP at the moment... The Panny is the way to go I guess but need a bargain... Thanks. I had a H65 for a brief time - the bulb blew in a week and I didn't think it looked as good as the HC1600 - but no rainbows however. Can't win.
