Any knowledge of vintage Technics speakers?

I've come across in my local craigslist listings a pair of Technics SB-A32's. Any knowledge on this? If so, what's your opinion on these vs. Polk Audio's tSi300's? I'm looking for floorstanding speakers for movie watching and music.

Here's the picture on the listing:

(I hope they're good sounding, I love the aesthetics.)

EDIT:

And how about these?

There was a lot of Japanese product in the 70s/80s that was only sold in Japan as a premier or flagship series that was very good, and often very expensive. Much of what was sold internationally was not as good, and a great deal of it looked the same or similar to the flagship stuff so you need to research whether it was actually the Japanese or international. Most of the sites dedicated to the premier lines are in Japanese which makes this difficult. Even though I thought I'd researched well a couple of years back, I got burned on a similar product. Fortunately I onsold them on gumtree for little loss to someone who just thought they looked 'rockin'. I thought they sounded like junk.

I don't know the ones pictured, but unless they are very cheap and you're willing to take a risk, most likely they are pretty average, but go have a listen, they might be pearls.
Good points,..additionally, in my opinion, any loudspeaker that uses those trim pieces that make the driver's outside diameter appear bigger behind the grill, such as those you linked to,... are suspect.

Just sayin...

Used speakers are always a crap shoot, because their condition can be very poor even though they look great.

Used legacy speakers are an even bigger crap shoot, because unless they were very popular and highly regarded in the day, replacement parts are just about pure unobtainium.

I currently own a pair of the technics sb-a32 tower speakers and i think they are great! They handle bass really well and have lasted me a while. i would definitely recommend these but you might need to replace the woofers. i dont know if you will use these for everyday use but i use them everyday and put them at max volume. they are great and very loud. mine sound clear at all levels and i would definitely get them.
