I am wondering if anyone checked out the Yamaha CES display. Did they display any new receivers in the mid to upper price area of their line?


Was there a replacement for the RX-Z9 or any other infomation at all. I have searched around the net and cannot find any mention at all about any new Yamaha units.

So no one that frequents this forum knows anything...........hard to beleive. I thought alot of people were interested in new Yamaha/ Denon receivers.

yeah, I'd like to know myself. Although AudioHolics posted a few Yamaha product articles, mostly just "cute" specialty speaker products:

Moreover, they posted Yamaha video interviews as well (find links under "CES 2007 VIDEO Coverage!):

This tells me that they (Yamaha) most-likely did not have any [new] receiver products.


Seems Yamaha releases most of their new receiver product info around July or August.

I could see them not wanting to show replacements for the 1700/2700 as these are hot products right now. I however did think that we would see a new Flagship model......I wonder why they did not even show a prototype? I guess we will have to wait a little longer.

I was at CES and I did not see see anything new at Yamaha, I was hoping to see an upgrade to the 2700 to HDMI 1.3 but sadly nothing. I talked to the rep a little about the HTR6090 and how it compares to the 1700/2700, he said it is basically a 1700. So I came home and ordered a 2700....

I'm currently waiting to replace my RX-V1400. and I was waiting any news at CES on HDMI 1.3 yamaha receivers. I Guess I'll have to wait around summer for some news.

I was there and talked to the main Audio honcho...no new Receivers planned for this year as of right now.


the big bummer for me was the no replacement for the Z9
