I read about in a previous thread, but for some reason can not find the thread.


Anyway, any news on this unit?

Scott, if you mean the MP-2 designed for digital folk, last I read it was on hold as Mike was having trouble getting the quality he wanted for the price point he was targetting. (Read, he wanted it cheaper than the MP-1, but he was having a hard time doing so.)


Or is this something new from Mike I hadn't heard of?

I'm getting it (transcoder) ready to ship out this week for evaluation.


I had no idea that so much was involved in properly converting component to RGB. I started out with a proto that was a notch above 'basic conversion' but after testing and much research I set out to take it to another level...
