Does anyone know if HBO is planning to convert any of there other channels into HD? It seems (from reading here) that they have had HD for quite some time.

Having all those HBO channels, and having only ONE of them be HD seems really lame to me. :(

Thanks!

tomotea,

Cinemax HD is coming later this year.

If MSOs / DBS companies demand more HBO HDTV channels, then I am sure Time Warner will respond. I'm not sure providers want to dedicate bandwidth for multiple HDTV feeds to any single content provider at this point. But I think we will get more feeds eventually.

Thanks, bdfvt! ;) I'm not a Skin-o-max subscriber (soft porn is not my thing) ;). So there are no announced (or even rumored) plans for expanding the HBO HDTV lineup, eh?

That's good to know ... however, that was somewhat tongue-in-cheek. HBO latenight is not much better at times.

Depends on whether your definition of better is either more or less skin.

Are you talking about the major films? I was not aware of that and was very close to canceling Cinemax (D***). I know Cinemax shows a lot of films after their run on HBO.

It seems like AOLTimeWarnerKitchenSink changed policy a few months ago and started premiering a few "big" movies on Cinemax several weeks before their HBO premier. I might be wrong, but I think "Monster's Ball" is an example.

Tonight, too, Mr. Deeds will premiere on Cinemax at 10, even though it hasn't hit HBO yet.
