Ive been searching and cant find any other option that takes firewire in and spits it out as DVI.


Plenty offer DVI out but I want to play my D theater tapes and spit it out dvi to my projector.

I don't have a DVHS player, so I haven't tried using my 165 for playing D-Theater tapes, but I thought that would be possible with the 165. Since you should be able to create a secure connection from the DVHS player to the projector (assuming an HDCP compliant projector) then I assumed this would work. Is the 165 1394 connection not 5C protected?
