Are there any other websites that discuss different brands and opinions of DVD recorders aside from this one? I know with digital cameras there are many but I haven't found many any worthwhile when it comes to DVD recorders besides this one.

Try CDFreaks.com. Although, they get a bit an_l with technical discussions. Also CNET, Sound and Vision.com as well as PCWORLD.com does reviews. I think CNET also posts user comments as does EBay, Newegg and others.
