I want to use Dscaler to improve SD viewing via TiVO, so all I need for a capture/tv card is the capture function (and the correct chipset for dscaler support).

I am under the ASSumption that any supported capture card will do, as all I need is a pass-thru to dscaler. True?

Also, any improvement with going to svideo over composite? I am using a WinTV go atm, with only a component input.

Thanks for any info!

The FLyvideo 2000/3000 is the lastest rage in dscaler supported cards. It uses a Phillips chip set with 9bit ADC, which is a improvement over the brooktree 8bit ADC's.

Thanks for the link.

Do these cards give superior video pass thru? I am not at all interested in the card being a tuner.
