Any avr's that can improve the picture quality of sd tv and sd dvd's under $1000?

Not to thread-jack but I'm thinking about picking up the 875. Are there any major issues I should be aware of with this unit? Lip sync, popping, HDMI issues, anything?

With the latest firmware update, most of the major stuff has been fixed. There are still a couple of minor issues so you may want to read through the 875 owners thread. Also, the 905 and Integra 8.8 and 8.9 have the same video processor and implementation, so reading through those owners threads will also give you some insight.
