I live about 45-50 miles away from my stations. Since purchasing the tivo I have experienced frequent dropouts. I owned a samsung t160 which did a better job. The tivo seems to have problems with multipath and weak signals incomparison to the other stbs I have owned. I was hoping for a similiar tuner as my samsung but this thing isn't cutting it at my location. I never seem to read any negative posts on the tuner and that has me dumbfounded. What are your experiences? Thanks, Jeff

There are several threads about the HR10-250 OTA tuner at http://www.tivocommunity.com in the HDTV Tivo Forum. The tuners are actually more sensitve than most other settop boxes, so multipath and strong signals can indeed cause problems. Typically, more problems are solved by signal attenuators than by amplifiers.

My reception improved after I got the software upgrade. I did not have any luck regarding the attenuator
