Hello,


I'm looking to upgrade the audio portion of my HT. After reading quite a few posts re: speakers, amps, and pre/pros I at least have some idea of what I'd like to demo (EAD, Lexicon, Theta, Aerial speakers, etc.). Does anyone have any recommendations re: dealers/shops in the Chicago area (or at least in the Midwest)where you can actually hear these components?


Does anyone have any experience with buying this level of gear used? Are auction sites like eBay the only place to do this?

This will definitely help jump-start the great search for the "perfect sound" (uh-huh). It will be interesting to see which places let me demo at home.
