I have a 9500 Ultra CRT projector with Mike Parker Mods. It has a fantastic picture. I am interested in comparing with the new high contrast digitals. If anyone has the Sony 200 (is this the latest model?) or the JVC RS1/RS2 and is interested in meeting to evaluate our mutual projectors, please let me know. Well.. you are probably less interested in CRT.. of course.. but you might want to see what you are missing (if any!) - same for me too of course..

When from a fairly well calibrated 8500 CRT to:


a Sharp 12000 MKII - DLP 720P


then to a Panasonic AE1000U - LCD 1080P

Sowk, Actually, I went through that debate of digital Vs CRT already on the CRT forum. As you know.. seeing is believing..

I am now trying to only see if there are any local RS1/RS2/Sony projectors..

Flanners Audio & Video - has access to the Sony VPL-VW60 / Sony VPL-VW100 but they are not 100% properly setup.


Audio Emporium - Has the Marantz VP-11S1 and Sony VPL-VW60 on display, and better setup then Flanners. Not optimal but still better.



I too would love to see the JVC RS2 in the Milwaukee, WI area!
