I am looking at a pair of Target HR60 stands and found a good price on them at Audio Direct.

Has anyone bought products from Audio Direct? They are located in AZ but if ordered will ship from NY. I have never heard of them before and did a search for ratings and did not find any. I am always a little hesitant to deal with a online company when there is little or no information on them. Any thughts would be appreciated
.

Any reason you want these specific stands?

I currently have Sanus Steel Foundation stands and they are a good stand but not very solid as the base is not very rigid.

I had Dynaudio Stand 2s before the Sanus stands and found them to be a very well built stand but sold them and now I regret selling them
. To replace them which are now the Stand 4s are fairly expensive at $450.00 a pair.

The Target HR60s look to be a well built solid stand with a much beefier looking base and 4" welded to the base tubes which can be filled with sand. So basically I am looking for a more solid stand for my Ascend Sierra-1s.

I have found that Audio Advisor sells the HR60s but at $40.00 more than the Audio Direct price. I just ordered a Parasound 2100 preamp for them and will contact them to see if they will match Audio Directs price. I have dealt with AA in the past and they are a great company to deal with.

If you are looking for alternatives for the Dynaudio stands I would recommend the SolidSteel ZX stands.

That is what use the my Audience 52's when I couldn't wait for a pair of Stand 4's to pop up on Audiogon. They bolt together, unlike the Stand 2 or HR60 but I find them to be pretty solid once but together. I did not fill my pair so I can't comment about that aspect. You can find them at musicdirect.com for less than the HR60. I'd recommend the 28" height.
