Any thoughts on the LG MT-50PM10 ?

Hi

I was wondering if any members have seen the LG MT-50PM10 and have any thoughts on the set?

The closest I can find to it in terms of specification (1366x768p, 5000:1 Contrast Ratio, 1000 cd/m2 Brightness, HDMI with HDCP Input) on the LG USA website is the DU-50PY10.

Your opinions are appreciated.

I could not locate any information about the LG MT-50PM10, were you referring to the LG MU-50PM10 instead? There is a good description for this panel at monitoroutlet.com . Another panel worth considering is the Samung HP-R5072 which is due out this spring.

It will be interesting to compare these panels to Panasonic's 8th generation TH-50PX500U.

optivity,

Many thanks for the assistance. The model designation of MT in our country seems to be the MU in yours.

I could only wish we would even be getting a look at an 8th generation Panasonic panel. Our local Panasonic distributor still only has the 6th generation panels available!

The LG seems to be the best buy in this price band. The only other decent panels we have available is the NEC 50XM3G, but this is at quite a hefty price premium.
