Any thoughts or suggestions on my planned layout of a small home theater?

Sketchup Link.

I'm trying to figure out how I can best set up this small room as a home theater. I want to try to get the most out of my setup. I just finished building my speaker stands, and I'm about to start working on the media center I designed that's in this model. I've moved everything over to that area, but I'm currently using some makeshift shelving for my components and have yet to upgrade my TV.

My current setup consists of:

TV: Samsung C650 32" (I plan to upgrade to a 55" OLED once I have everything else set up.)
Receiver: Denon AVR-X4500H
Right, Left, and Center Speakers: HTD Level 3 Bookshelves and Center Channel
Subwoofer: HSU VTF-2 MK5
Surrounds: Old Sharp speakers that were the Mains on a system I got as a teenager in the late 90s
Blu Ray: Samsung BD-C6500 (I'll look into a 4K player when I'm close to pulling the trigger on the TV upgrade.)

I'm also thinking a Harmony remote might be good to get, but I haven't looked into that too much yet.

As you can see, It's a pretty small space that I'm working with. The bookcases behind the couch are faced with plexiglass and the whole room has hardwood flooring, but I don't think I've noticed much in terms of reflections yet.

Does anyone have any advice or suggestions or see any glaring issues that I'm missing?

Generally, a more symmetrical room is better for more even sound. But I suppose it looks okay for what you're trying to achieve.
If you listen loud, not sure how kind it is for your critter(?) My dogs tend to leave my Media Room when I listen at louder volumes...

So far the only issue with the critter is that he wants to chew on the speaker stands I just made. He's got a little house he hides in if he gets freaked out and he hasn't used it while I've been watching anything yet. I don't think I go very loud in the grand scheme of things, though.
