Any users of the AA 9A65 component-to-RGB transcoder yet?

(I posted this in the HTPC forum and got no answers-this is probably a better place for it...)


I am hoping to hear from any users of the new Audio Authority 9A65 component-to-RGBHV transcoder. Digital Connection is now shipping them, it appears. In particular, does it remove sync from the green (formerly "Y") output? Thanks for any notes on your experiences.

I recently picked up the AA 9A65 on ebay. I am having sync and stability issues with this unit hooked up to a Scientific Atlanta 4200HD. I am feeding the component Y, Pb, Pr cables into this unit and running a 20' RGBHV cable into my Electrohome 8501. The picture displayed on my 100" screen starts off fine but then starts to intermittenly lose sync. I will be testing this unit with a progressive scan image to see if I still get the same sync issue.

Thanks for the note. I hope you are able to figure out the sync problem-does the transcoder have DIP switches or other 'options' that you can try?
