Would it be possible to get 480i on that port with a firmware update?

Don't know about any firmware updates. I think the first component port on "W" HLNs does take 480i. On the newer "W1" HLNs, all three component inputs take 480i, I believe.

Revised HLN "W1" sets:


Component 1, 2 & 3 > 480i, 480p, 1080i, 720p


Basic HLP sets:

Don't expect any upgrades to the standard HLN sets. I think it would be hardware and firmware that would need to be changed.
