Any Word On Event Horizon?

I remember Event Horizon was an absolutely fantastic movie. It's Paramount. Has anyone heard if we will see this on HD DVD at all?

i thought it was great, also. i had read somewhere that there arent too many of us tho. i have anamorphic sd version which i love.

There are more of us than you'd think. Everyone I know says it's one of the truely scariest movies they've ever seen. The recent DVD re-issue has a nice transfer, but this movie NEEDS HD with uncompressed audio.

the new Family Guy episode made me think of this movie tonight...I love this movie...creepy as hell.

Not to make this any worse, but I saw an HD broadcast version of this and it looked stunning. Compressed to hell but not average HD, stunning HD. However this was recorded, it lends itself to an impressive HD experience.


Did I mention I'd buy it in a heartbeat?

I don't like horror flicks at all but even I love this movie. It scared the **** out of me the first time I saw it, but unlike other scary movies, it had an awesome, inthralling story to go with it.

I am also not a big horror fan but Event Horizon and Dawn of the Dead(remake) are really the only two horror movies I watch....Well, thats not true. I also watch Buffalo Bills games every Sunday aswell.

^^^ Yeah, such a horror show to watch the Bills beat my Jets. Trust me, you don't know what horror lies in the heart of NFL fans until you've become a Jets fan!

Ditto on Family Guy. I wonder if that's what prompted this thread. I'd love to see that movie in HD.

Watched it once, at 1:00am with nobody in the house... Scared the living crap out of me.

Agreed. I couldn't wait, so as a stop-gap, authored my own HD DVD out of my HD capture. Quality is pretty darn good so I can only guess the official HD DVD will be first rate, whenever it comes out.

Watched the movie in the theater and I was uncomfortable the whole time, so I know it was great.



Scary and disturbing, you really have no idea what's coming next. Great visuals and cool storyline.


I hope this one hits soon.
