Well, the cable turned even crappier last week (yes, it can get worse). I live in a new construction home area that is not updated with true digital cable. Apparently the signal loss has become worse as more people have moved in and the repair-tech chose to circumvent my whole-house distribution (running a simple splitter to the 2 TVs we currently use) to "fix" our poor receptioin.


I would like to get a dish network system (E*) from a local dealer instead of using the internet. Does anybody have any experience getting this in the Boulder area? Of course I want high quality at a competitive price.

The one dealer that I got my 6000 from is Satellite Showcase. They are on the frontage road west of I-25.

Not exactly near Boulder, but you can get directions off the satelliteshowcase.com web site.

I have dealt with Benzie & Shook since I had my C-Band installed years ago. Glen the owner works out of Englewood and installed my DISH system. He works all over the Metro area. He also gets me my upgrade units from Echostar. Benzie and Shook is listed in the Denver phone book.

I think many of us may have purchased our Dish's over the internet. I know I did... however if I had it to do again, I probably would have gone the local route as I ended up paying 3C's to do my install. There are a myriad of rebates/promotions/etc that you have to wade through and a good local dealer that can provide that info, and installation, is a good deal IMHO.

You might try The Big Picture store in Louisville on McCaslin just off the turnpike. They sell the 6000, don't know the price though.
