Sony is a good choice but there is the rare tray-lock problems. Samsung HD950 is also another choice that does not use Faroudja FLI2310 (Oppo, Panny S97/S77, Zenith 318, Samsung HD941) but beware of the "HDMI Audio Not Supported" bug if you use SPDIF out to receiver (message can be turned off but it does not remember when you turn off player). Only way to avoid this is if you feed HDMI audio to your TV which has SPDIF out to go to the receiver (this feature is common in built-in HDTV tuner displays). Your plasma does not have builtin HDTV tuner so likely you will have this error message with ALL the Samsung HD9xx players.
