Hi everyone,

I'm hoping to get a receiver to hold me over until new house gets built with a FULL HT room. Until then, I want to spend about $500 on a receiver. I think I've narrowed the choices down to a Denon 2802, an Onkyo 696 and the Outlaw 1050 (with the Onkyo being about $560 lowest price, but if it's that much better, I could probably squeeze out the few extra bucks).

I've looked at the comparison charts on Crutchfield and the Onkyo and Denon seem to be very similar. I think the Denon has the edge with the 6 internal amps. As does the Outlaw. I can listen to the Onkyo here in Tampa, but there are no Denon dealers, and as you know, the Outlaw is only available via the internet.

So....if anyone has previously compared these 3 receivers, I'd like to hear you opinions as to why one edged out the others.

Thanks in advance,

Aaron
