I have built many a PC in my day, but I just don't have the time or inclination these days. If anyone is interested, let me know.

I've been building custom MCE's for 2 years and have one of the first HDTV capable MCE 2005's.

I am waiting for the 64 bit OS MCE version to run on dual core Intel .The FSB should be faster as it has always been the bottleneck .

Fast Pentium Processor (3.2 GHz or better) - May need to stick to 3.2 due to heat

nVidia Display Adapter on PCI-e (6600 or 6800)

1 Gig of Fast RAM

Dual NTSC Tuners (single card w/Mpeg encode - possibly FM tuner)

ATSC Tuner (ATI most likely)

16x DVD+-RW/Dual Layer (secondary drive)

52x CD+-RW (main)

250 gig SATA drive

400 gig SATA drive

Sound Blaster 7.1 Audio Card

Firewire

USB 2.0

Gigabit Ethernet

Gyration Ultra Micro keyboard and mouse


System will be used for HTPC, Gaming, encoding HD Video to WMV-9 format.
