...for Pirates I & II on Blu-ray May 22?


This will be a big day for Blu-ray.


I'm not a huge fan of the franchise. I'm not planning on seeing the third one this summer. However, I can't wait for these to come out. Disney seems to be going all out on these for Blu-ray. I do like Curse of the Black Pearl. So that's the one I'll get. I'm still undecided on Dead Man's Chest.


I really appreciate the fact Disney is using 50GB discs for the film. On top of that, they're putting the extras on a seperate 25GB disc. Bravo Disney! Now lets hope these look and sound spectacular. I have a feeling they will. Who knows, maybe watching these two in HD might get me pumped to see the third.


I can't wait for May 22.

I'm getting weak at the knees for May 22nd though. Both Pirates, Letters, Flags of our Fathers, MI #1, Apocolytpo.......


It's a good day for HDM in general.

Well... I've seen all those movies so I'm not terribly excited to see them in high-def, although Pirates should look great. Oddly enough, the one title I can't wait to see come May 22 is The 40-Year-Old Virgin because the pq on the standard DVD was a mess.

I'm excited about getting both POTC BD's, although they are released a couple of weeks later here in the UK. As for the flicks, i think i'm one of the few folk who much preferred Dead Man's Chest out of the two.

I'm getting the POTC discs just to be a completest, but I have no interest in watching them immediately. I've seen the two movies too many times already. The Matrix set however, will be getting a spin very quickly, simply because it's been a while since I've seen any of them.


Apocalypto definately needs a rental. Flags and Letters get a spin early on also since I haven't seen either. I was excited about "Cars" too... but that's from one of those studios that stopped releasing movies.

I'll wait for a sale to pick up the Pirates movies. I thought they were okay, but I wouldn't pay full price for either of them.

As bad as the 2nd and 3rd installments of Matrix were, I can surely wait for it to arrive on BD before I consider purchase. POTC however is must-have.

I'll be picking up The Complete Matrix and Flags of Our Fathers on HD DVD on the 22nd and likely the second PotC flick on BRD.If i had my way i'd get PofC and Letters From Iwo Jima also, but the 22nd alone is likely going to cost me $110+.Gotta save some cash for vacation afer all.

Take a pass on Pirates II. Totally over blown formula film. Does anyone know if there was even a story line through the film.

Kept looking at my watch wondering if the pain was ever going to end. "Oh the humanity"

For that reason I'll not be seeing the third one in the theatre.


Matrix Boxset is mine as well. There's definitely going to be a Matrix fest at my place that weekend.

Minus the third one of course. Similar feelings as Pirates II. Just fell flat and reeked of self importance.


Several other titles in the queue as well.


Boy is May 22nd going to be expensive.
