I bought a 42LH50 a month ago. It is a good tv but I expected it to have more with the Netcast feature. I spoke with a support rep and asked why mine didn't have Pandora like they were advertising.

She said that it might be added in the future but she hadn't really heard for sure. The new TV models shipping in 2010 have it but not the older ones.

I bought mine in Feb 2010 but I guess that is not good enough. I don't see why they couldn't offer a firmware update. At least make customers have some hope for it instead of acting like they have not spoken of it.

It is pretty typical to update this type of firmware but didn't sound certain.

Anyone hear anything differently?

Edit: irritated or irritatged, either one

Did they adverties Pandora for your 2009 model or just for the 2010 models?

The potential problem with a firmware update is that there is only so much memory for the firmware and if there is no room left in the firmware chip for the 2009 models then there is no room to add any more links.
